Hey bunqers 🌈,
Whether you’re setting money aside for something special or just want to watch your savings grow, the Savings tab makes it effortlessly easy to stay on track.
With just a tap in the app, you can see all your savings accounts in one place, check your AutoSaved total at a glance, and use the savings calculator to discover how much extra you’ll earn with MassInterest — welcome to your Savings Tab.
Where can I find my Savings Accounts?
The Savings Tab is where you’ll find all of your Savings Accounts. From here, you can tap on an existing Savings account to open its overview, as well as deposit, withdraw, or request money.
Below your existing accounts, you can choose to create other Savings accounts by:
Tap Add an Extra Savings Account
Select the type of Savings Account you’d like to set up
Personalize it and tap Create
Your new Savings Account is ready to use!
Expected Interest Earned
To give you a simple, transparent view of how much interest you can earn with bunq, you can instantly see your expected earnings over the next 12 months when you save with bunq. Want to learn how MassInterest works? Check it out here.
Your Expected Interest Earnings banner shows you:
Base rate – your standard interest rate
Bonus rate – the extra interest you earn on the balance that is above your Savings threshold
Savings threshold – the highest balance in your Savings Account from January to July or July to December
If you add or withdraw money, the calculation updates automatically to display the adjusted new balance.
⚠️ Important: You’ll need a bunq Savings Account to earn Interest and see your expected interest earnings. Regular bunq accounts – even if used for savings – don’t generate interest.
You can choose whether your MassInterest gets paid out into your regular bank account or Savings bank account. When you set your Payday to your bunq Savings account, you’ll earn even more due to compounding interest — each week your new total starts to earn interest. Over time, this creates a snowball effect that helps your savings grow faster.
