What is a bunq.me link?
A bunq.me link is a personalized link which allows anyone to send money to your Bank Account, simply by scanning the QR code or tapping on the link.
After creating your bunq.me link, we'll set up your very own bunq.me page. When you share your link or someone scans your QR code, they’ll land on your bunq.me page. Here, they can:
Enter any amount they want to send you.
Add a description so you both know what the payment is for.
Select their favorite way to pay, like iDEAL or a credit card transfer.
To make sure your friends know it's you they're sending money to, your bunq.me page will display your legal name, the way you set it up in your Profile.
Heads-up: If your friends pay you via iDEAL | Wero, your full legal name will be displayed on the iDEAL | Wero page.
How do I create my bunq.me link?
To create your bunq.me link, click here or follow the steps below:
Go to Your Profile
Tap on the Request Your Money Back banner at the top of your screen
Choose your bunq.me link name
Tap on Create
Select the Bank Account you’d like the incoming money to be deposited into
Your link is live and ready for use! It’ll appear as a QR code in Your Profile and you can share it by sending it via WhatsApp or other messaging applications.
You can also create a bunq.me link by selecting any of your Bank Accounts and tapping on Create a bunq.me Link right below the icon.
How do I deactivate my bunq.me link?
Go to Your Profile
Tap on your bunq.me link below your QR code
Select the bunq.me link you’d like to deactivate
Tap on Deactivate This Link
If you want to deactivate an old bunq.me link created with an IBAN from a different bank in the past, contact our support team to do that for you 🙌
Can I create multiple bunq.me links?
Absolutely, you can continue to budget in a breeze with multiple bunq.me links. Create up to 10 personalized and shareable bunq.me links and connect them to different Bank Accounts: one bunq.me link per Bank Account.
To create an additional bunq.me link, simply:
Go to Your Profile
Tap on the Request Your Money Back banner at the top of your screen
Tap on Create bunq.me Link
Choose your bunq.me link name
Tap on Create
Select the Bank Account you’d like the incoming money to be deposited into
Your link is live and ready for use!
Tip: This makes crowdfunding multiple projects or requesting money to different monetary accounts truly simple.
How do I edit my bunq.me link?
Looking to edit the name or the bank account connected to your bunq.me link? You can edit your bunq.me link, straight from the bunq app, in a few, easy steps!
To edit your bunq.me link, follow the steps below:
Go to Your Profile
Tap on the bunq.me link below your bunq.me QR code
Select the bunq.me link you’d like to edit
Tap on Change My Link or Personalize Page to edit your bunq.me link
Please note: As part of making bunq.me the safest way to pay, the option to customize the background of your bunq.me page is currently not available.

How can I check if my bunq.me request has been paid?
To check whether your bunq.me request has already been paid, you can simply:
Go to your Home Tab
Tap on See All under your Recent Payments
Select Requests
Search and find the payment. Pro-tip: use the Transaction Search to help you find it faster!
If the request has been paid, you’ll see a breakdown of when it was paid out and by whom.
What's the difference between bunq.me and bunq.to?
While bunq.me is your personal payment link, designed for receiving money, bunq.to is a way for you to send money to someone without needing their bank details, like an IBAN. To send money with bunq.to, all you need is the phone number or email address of the person you'd like to send money to.
Think about it this way: bunq.me is for getting paid, and bunq.to is for sending money. Both easy, secure, and make managing money a whole lot simpler ✨
Do my friends need the bunq app to pay me?
Not at all, anyone with your link can pay you — even if they don't have a bunq account or the bunq app.
If your friends don’t have the bunq app installed, tapping your link opens your bunq.me page in their browser. They can then use iDEAL | Wero, Apple or Google Pay, Bancontact, or a debit or credit card to securely complete their payment to you.
Can someone with a bunq account pay my link from another bank?
Absolutely! When someone who already uses bunq opens your bunq.me link, it will open straight in their app. But this doesn’t mean that they can only pay you from their bunq account.
On the payment screen, they can tap Pay With Another Bank to securely pay you via iDEAL | Wero, or another method of their choice.

Payment Practicalities:
We only accept Visa and MasterCard for card payments via bunq.me
bunq.me payments over €2000 can't be paid with iDEAL
bunq.me works with all banks. Is someone trying to pay you through your bunq.me link and is this payment not going through? Then there's likely an issue with the payment at the bank of the sender. We recommend contacting the other bank to help them solve this issue for you. Learn more here.
Naming Conventions:
As long as a bunq.me name is not currently in use, you can get it right away 🙌
You can't disable or edit the possible payment methods of your bunq.me link or bunq request.
Keep in mind that if you disable your bunq.me link and want to enable it again later, another user might have set it as their own bunq.me link while you were away, making it unavailable for you 👈
