Cards from which countries can be used for top up?

  • Austria

  • Belgium

  • Bulgaria

  • Canada

  • Croatia

  • Cyprus

  • Czech Republic

  • Denmark

  • Germany

  • Greece

  • Hungary

  • Ireland

  • Italy

  • United Kingdom For euro accounts, we currently only support cards that originate from the EU. We're working on improving this coverage to allow cards from other countries to be used!

Do you want to top up a Foreign Currency account?

Foreign Currency accounts can only be topped up with a card in the same currency as the account. For example you can only top up your Canadian dollar account with a card with CAD balance. A British pound card tops up GBP currency accounts, a USA dollar card tops up USD accounts, etc. To top up your Foreign Currency Bank Account, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to 🏠 Home

  2. Tap on your Foreign Currencies Bank Account

  3. Select Add Money

  4. Chose your topping-up method

  5. Ka-ching! All done 🌈

What if my country of origin is not supported?

We’re already working with our card processing company to expand this list, so everyone can soon top up their bunq account as easily as possible!

If your country isn’t supported yet, no worries! You can always top up your bunq account using a bank transfer, iDEAL, Instant Bank Transfer or TransferWise!

*Only personal cards are accepted, not business/company cards 💳
