You may notice that you’re getting request push notifications from us, even if your push notification settings are off from January 26, 2026.
We understand how confusing, and annoying, this may be. So our team is on it and we’re actively working on a fix. By January 27, 2026, you'll only get push notifications if you've actually opted in to get them.
Why am I getting push notifications?
Push notifications are currently being sent to all users, despite the saved notification setting preferences, due to a slight hiccup on our end. Rest assured, your account is completely safe and your personal settings have not been changed.
If you’re getting notifications and you didn’t sign up for them — no worries! This is a temporary issue and we’re on track to get it resolved by January 27, 2026.

How can I check my push notification settings?
If you’d like to check your notification settings, you can do so by following the steps below:
Open your bunq App
Go to Your Profile in the top right corner
Tap on Settings
Tap on Notifications
Here, you can check your saved notification setting preferences — which will be applied as normal from January 27, 2026.
