What is a standard bank statement?

A standard bank statement is a document that provides an overview of your accounts and credit facilities with your bank. This confirms who is authorized to act on behalf of the company. We use the format for standard bank statements of Nederlandse Beroepsorganisatie van Accountants (NBA).

How do I request a standard bank statement?

Simply reach out to our Support team and request a standard bank statement by providing them with the following info:

• Name of accounting firm and address

• Name of accountant and e-mail address

• Name and email address of the person we should send a copy to

• Preferred language (Dutch or English)

• In the cases where the accountant is requesting the standard bank statement, please confirm that the company owner is aware of our fee (listed below)

When can I receive it?

After the request is submitted we will aim to send the standard bank statement to you and your accountant in less than 10 working days. If the bank statement isn’t sent to you by this deadline, make sure to contact us and let us know so that we can assist you further.

Q. Can I have the balance of the Bank Account reflected on the bank statement?

A: Account balance information is not listed on standard bank statements. If you wish to have a document showing your Bank Account's balance, it is best to export an annual overview report through the app. You can do so by following the steps here 🙌

Q: My account has been created this year and the fiscal year is not over yet. Can I still receive a bank statement or do I have to wait for the fiscal year to be over?

A: There is no need to wait! However, you should keep in mind that the standard bank statement will not include the complete fiscal year. Furthermore, if another statement is requested at the end of the year, you will be charged again. Our advice (unless the statement is vital to be obtained ASAP) is to wait until the end of the fiscal year to have a complete overview 👁

Q: I need a standard bank statement, but my account is closed / has insufficient balance. What do I do?

A: You can transfer the fee of €120 using the bunq.me link https://bunq.me/statement with a reference: Standard Bank statement for {Company X}. and request the standard bank statement per the above procedure.
