What is a rate guarantee?

The rate guarantee is a small sum which is added by Kraken to your total costs, to lock the rate of your Crypto purchase at market price. It ensures that you always get exactly the amount of crypto that you want to buy.

You will always see the total price, including the rate guarantee and any fees, upfront in the app before you confirm your payment. This way, you're always fully informed of what you’re agreeing to. No surprises. 🙌

How do I check how much the rate guarantee is?

To check the rate guarantee during your purchase:

1. Go to your bunq app

2. Open the ₿ Crypto tab

3. Select a Coin you want to buy

4. Tap on Buy

5. Select the amount you want to buy

6. The total price you’ll need to pay will be displayed below, under To Pay

You can also check it by tapping on the payment you made and viewing the price next to Rate Guarantee.
