You can switch the Bank Account (IBAN) your bunq card pays from at any time, directly in your Cards tab.

We never print an IBAN on your card, so your card isn't tied to a specific IBAN. This means you can keep the same physical card and easily change the account it pays from whenever you like.

How can I change the IBAN my card is linked to?

1. Go to the 💳 Cards Tab

2. Tap on the desired card

3. Tap on Auto Select next to “Pay From”

4. Select any new Bank Account and you are done ✅

Your card pays from your newly selected IBAN straight away. It stays linked to you bunq card until you change it again. You can always switch back by repeating the steps above and selecting a new IBAN to connect.

Is my IBAN printed on my card?

No, we never print your IBAN on your physical card. This keeps your card separate from any single account, so one card can pay from whichever Bank Account you choose. You can find the IBAN for each of your Bank Accounts in the app:

1. Go to the 🏠 Home tab

2. Select a Bank Account

3. Your IBAN is shown in the middle of the screen

Which Bank Accounts can I link to my card?

You can link any regular Bank Account to your card, including a Bank Account someone has shared with you. That makes it easy to pay from a holiday budget or a shared account with the same card.

You can't link a Savings Account or an Easy Investments Account to your card.
