Hey bunqers 🌈,

If a cryptocurrency you hold is being delisted, you can sell or swap it yourself before a set deadline — and if you don't, we'll convert it into another cryptocurrency for you automatically.

Delisting simply means that a cryptocurrency is no longer available to buy, sell, or swap in your Crypto tab. Check out the list below to see whether any of your coins are affected, then follow the steps to decide what to do next.

What can I do before the deadline?

Before your last day to trade, you can either sell it or exchange it for another cryptocurrency:

  1. Go to the Crypto tab

  2. Open the cryptocurrency you want to act on

  3. Tap Sell to sell the crypto, or tap Swap to exchange it for another available cryptocurrency

  4. Follow the steps and slide to confirm

That's it — you've handled the delisting on your own terms!

What happens if I don't do anything?

Nothing is lost if you miss the deadline or simply decide not to act. After the last day to trade, we'll convert your holdings into another cryptocurrency at the market rate for you. This can take up to 3 months to process, and the date range is shown as the estimated liquidation in the list above.

In the meantime, your crypto stays safely in your Crypto Wallet. The only thing you can't do after the deadline is sell or swap the delisted cryptocurrency yourself, so act before then if you want to choose the timing.

What is crypto delisting, and why does it happen?

To give you a secure crypto experience, we partner with Kraken. Sometimes Kraken decides to stop supporting a specific cryptocurrency — this is called delisting. A cryptocurrency can be delisted for several reasons, including:

  • Keeping standards high: a cryptocurrency may be delisted if it no longer meets the necessary standards for performance and security.

  • Protecting your assets: if a cryptocurrency has security vulnerabilities, it may be delisted to protect you from potential risks.

  • Ensuring fair practices: we only support projects that act in the best interest of the user community. If a project team engages in harmful behavior like market manipulation, its cryptocurrency is removed.

  • Keeping your crypto up to date: if a cryptocurrency gets a new name, Kraken automatically swaps your old one for the new one, and the old version is delisted.
