What’s AutoSelect?

With AutoSelect the bunq app will automatically detect the category of your expenses and make the payment from the correct Easy Budgeting Bank Account. For example - you pay at the cinema with your bunq card which is connected to a regular Bank Account. However, at the same time you have a budget for Entertainment, which isn’t linked to the card. In such case, AutoSelect will deduct the money automatically from the corresponding budget, if the balance is sufficient - easy as that 🙌

AutoSelect and Foreign Currencies

AutoSelect makes paying in foreign currencies easy and hassle-free. When you make a payment in a foreign currency, AutoSelect will use the matching currency account – if you have it open.

For example, if you have a GBP account and you make a payment in GBP using your main card while visiting London, AutoSelect will use your GBP account for the payment.

If you don't have the specific currency account open, AutoSelect will use a EUR account with a matching label for the payment.

For example, if you're in Switzerland and pay for dinner at a local restaurant with your bunq card but don't have a Swiss Franc (CHF) account, AutoSelect will use your Euro Food account to complete the payment.
