Looking to replace a card that was stolen or lost. You can easily request a new card within the bunq app! You have 1 free card replacement per year with our bunq Pro and bunq Eilte plans.
How do I replace my card?
❗️Keep in mind that you can't order a replacement for a blocked card. This card disappears from your overview, as blocking is a permanent action. In these cases you need to order a new card.
Follow the steps below to see how to replace your current bunq card:
Go to 🏠 Home
Select the card you want a replacement for
Tap on ⚙️ Settings
Select Replace
Edit card details (if applicable) and select Next
Review the information and select Get Your Card
You can Add your Card to Apple Pay or select Not now on the confirmation screen and you're all set!
Card replacement fees
With bunq Pro or bunq Eilte plans you get one free card replacement per year. With bunq Core, all card replacements come with a €9.99 fee.
Replacements costs for Metal Cards come with a €99 fee.
If you're a bunq Free user and have a Virtual Card (Credit or Debit), it will be automatically replaced at no extra cost.
You can request as many card replacements as you'd like.
This applies to cards that:
Haven't arrived within 2 weeks.
Did you enter the correct address? This topic can show you how to check if your address is correct in the app.
May've gotten some extra wear and tear.
Have accidentally gotten stolen or lost.
Already used your 1 free card replacement?
Anything over the one free replacement per year will cost €9.99 to account for production costs for bunq Pro and Elite users. You can find more information in our pricing doc here.
The free replacement doesn't apply to Metal Cards. Replacing Metal Cards comes with a €99 replacement fee.
Did your card expire?
Don't worry, the replacement will be free. You'll receive a push notification in your bunq app asking you to confirm your current address and a new card will be sent your way! 💳
