To make banking easy for you and to make sure all of your needs are covered, we partnered with Barzahlen / Viacash and PaySafeCash. You can use their services to deposit cash straight to your bunq account with just a few taps in the app.

Barzahlen / Viacash
If you’re on the bunq Core, Pro or Elite plan residing in Germany and Austria, you can use Barzahlen to top up your account with cash. The first €100 deposited each (billing) month is free, then there’s a 2,5% fee on the total amount above that. You'll be charged this in your monthly invoice.
PaySafeCash
If you’re on the bunq Core, Pro or Elite plan residing in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden, you can use PaysafeCash to top up your account with cash. You can deposit up to €100,00 free of charge. After this limit has been passed, the deposit fee is 2,5%.
Why can't I see the option to top up my account with cash?
If you can’t see the option to top up your account via a cash deposit, this may be because you’re in a country which doesn’t support PaySafeCash and Barzahlen/Viacash or we don’t know where you’re located because we don’t have access to your geolocation. Please make sure that you’re in a country which supports our cash deposit providers and that you have granted location access to your bunq App in your phone settings.
Why was I redirected to PaySafeCash instead of Barzahlen, or vice versa?
If you’re in a supported country but the option to deposit cash still isn’t visible, check whether location access is enabled for the bunq app in your phone settings. We use your geolocation to show you the correct cash deposit options available to you. To be redirected correctly to PaySafeCash or Barzahlen, the app needs permission to access your location to determine which one needs to be displayed.
If you’re being redirected to the wrong provider, it means that we can’t accurately detect your location. Here’s how you can grant location access to the bunq app:

Go to Apps
Find and select the bunq App
Enable on the Location toggle to Always or While using the App
Android
Open your phone settings
Go to Location
Make sure the Location toggle is on for your device
Tap on App Location Permissions
Select bunq
