Let’s take a look at some common issues which lead to issues connecting your card to Apple Pay and how we can solve them together:
Is your bunq Card frozen? Whenever a card is frozen, it can’t be added to Apple Pay. To add it to Apple Pay, simply reactivate it and try again. You can do this by:
Go to the Cards Tab
Select the card you're trying to add to Apple Pay
Tap on reactivate, and you’re all set to try again!
Is the CVC/Expiry Date correct? If you’re adding your card to Apple Pay from your Apple Wallet, you’ll be asked to provide the card’s CVC and Expiry Date. In these cases, a simple typo can often be the culprit. It’s always worth a second look to make sure the CVC and expiry date match what’s in the app. Here’s how you can check them:
Go to the Cards Tab
Select your card
Carefully enter those details again in your Apple Wallet
Is your card linked to a Bank Account? For your card to work with Apple Pay, it must be linked to one of your Bank Accounts. Here’s how to check and link it:
Go to the Cards Tab
Choose your card
Tap on Pay From and select the Bank Account you’d like to use for payments
Was the PIN entered correctly? If you add your card by tapping it against your device, it will ask for your card's PIN for security. Make sure you're using the PIN associated with your bunq card, not your phone's passcode.
