How do I add my card to Google Pay?
Every time you pay with Google Pay, we'll instantly show you key insights into your spending. At a glance, you’ll see how much you’ve earned in Cashback and bunq Points, how much you’ve saved with ZeroFX, how much you paid in euros when making a payment in a foreign currency, and which account was used via AutoSelect.
To add your card to Google Pay, follow the steps mentioned below:
Go to 🏠 Home
Select the card you want to add
Go to ⚙️ Settings
Tap on "Set Google Pay"
Personalize the card
Fill in your info at Google
All done & ready to use your bunq card with Google Pay 🙌

When can I add my card to Google Pay?
You’ll receive a Virtual Credit Card automatically when you sign up and you can instantly add it, or any card you create, to Google Pay even before the physical card arrives at your door. Just follow these simple steps:
Go to 🏠 Home
Select the card you want to add
Tap on “Add your card to Google Pay”
How can I turn on the NFC function?
The NFC function on your phone needs to be switched on to use Google Pay. NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology that lets your phone make secure, contactless payments by tapping it near a compatible reader. Here’s how you can turn it on:
Open your device’s Settings.
Tap on “Connected devices” or "Connections"
Select Connection preferences
Tap NFC
Toggle the switch to turn NFC on
Adding Google Pay as a minor
If you're a minor and trying to activate Google Pay, please be aware that you must be at least 16 years old to do so.
Note: Parents or legal guardians must provide their child with permission to use Google Pay and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
Good to Know
You need to use Android Lollipop (5.0) or higher to be able to use Google Pay.
Google Pay works for your Credit Card and Debit Card (Mastercard). You can already use your card with Google Pay before receiving the physical card.
