Invite your friends who live in the Netherlands to join bunq — right from your Home Tab. When they join bunq and enable Switch Service, you both receive up to €100!
Who's eligible for this reward?
The following eligibility requirements must be met to unlock the reward when your friend completes a qualifying switch to bunq:
You and your friend both live in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Your friend switches from a Dutch bank account (IBAN) to their new Dutch bunq account using the Bank Switch Service
Your friend's old bank is a Dutch bank that supports the NL Switch Service
Your friend is 18 or older with a verified bunq account
The Switch Service stays active for at least 13 months — cancelling earlier means a €100 cancellation fee
Please note: If the switch isn't made from and to a bank that supports the Dutch Switch Service, the reward can't be unlocked.
How can I invite someone to join bunq and get €100?
To invite your friend and get up to €100, you can:
Go to your 🏡 Home Tab
Scroll down and tap on Get up to €100 when you invite a friend
Tap on Invite Now
Select the phone number of the friend you want to invite from your Contacts
Tap on Send Invite
Your invite is now in progress ✨
Once your friend completes their sign up and activates the Switch Service to bunq, you’ll get a notification from us that you’ve unlocked your reward. The Switch Service activation can take up to 2 weeks to complete.
How can I claim my reward?
To claim your reward, simply:
Go to your Home Tab
Tap on the widget notification or the pending event under Action Needed
Follow the on-screen instructions
Return to your Home Tab and tap on Claim reward under Action Needed
Tap on Claim Reward
You’ll receive your reward payment* from bunq to your Main Account
*The reward payment depends on campaign and deposit amount.
Please note: Your friend should keep their Switch Service active for a minimum of 13 months. If your friend cancels their Switch Service before the qualifying period ends, a cancellation fee of €100 will be charged.

Why haven't I received my reward yet?
To claim your reward, both you and your friend need to fulfill specific criteria. Here's what you should check:
Was the correct referral link used? Ask your friend to look for a pending event under the Action Needed section on their Home tab. If they do not see it, they may have missed the link during signup. Ask them to reach out to us via the Support chat in the app so we can investigate.
Has the Switch Service been activated? Check if your friend has activated the Switch Service from their pending event. If they haven't activated it, they can do so directly in the app by following the steps below.
Is your friend in the Netherlands? This specific €100 promotion is exclusively for friends who reside in 🇳🇱 the Netherlands. For friends in other countries, other exciting rewards apply.
How to activate Switch Service
If your friend hasn't activated the Switch Service yet, they can do so easily by following these steps in the app:
Tap on your Profile in the top left corner.
Go to ⚙️ Settings.
Tap on Switch Service > Let's start.
Choose the Bank Account where you want to redirect your payments.
Register your Switch Service on the page you're redirected to.
All done and you're all set 🌈
Just a friendly heads-up: It can take up to 2 weeks for the Switch Service to be fully activated. Your €100 reward will be paid out as soon as the service is active!
