As a Business account user, this feature lets you send payments under your preferred trade name, helping you showcase products and promote new services more effectively, especially if you have multiple trade names.

How can I add a trade name to my Business Bank Account?
Dutch Business Bank Account
If you have a bunq Business account in the Netherlands, you can select which KvK-registered trade name to link to your bank account. We’ll automatically update the names for you! Just follow the steps below:
Go to the 🏠 Home tab
Tap the Bank Account in question
Go to ⚙️ Settings
Tap on "Trade Name"
Choose your trade name
Austrian, Belgian, French, German, Irish, Italian, and Spanish Business Bank Accounts
To add a trade name to your 🇦🇹Austrian, 🇧🇪 Belgian, 🇫🇷 French, 🇩🇪 German, 🇮🇪 Irish, 🇮🇹Italian, and 🇪🇸 Spanish Business Bank Accounts Business account, contact us via our Support Center and provide the necessary documentation for the trade name. This typically involves submitting your Chamber of Commerce excerpt.
How to add a trade name during Bank Account creation?
Go to the 🏠 Home tab
Tap on 🟣 Add
Tap on 🟢 Add Bank Account and follow the flow
Go to ⚙️ Settings
Tap on "Trade name"
Select trade name you want to link to the bank account.
Can I add a new trade name?
Austrian, Belgian, Dutch, French, German, Irish, Italian, and Spanish users can link another trade name to one of their Bank Accounts by reaching out to us through our Support Centre. Our team will handle the request for you 🚀
Please note that a trade name can be changed for any Bank Account only if relevant documentation with the new registered trade name is provided to us.
For example, Dutch users need to submit their request with the new trade name registered at the Chamber of Commerce (Kamer van koophandel). German users need to submit their request with either a Gewerbeanmeldung or a Chamber of Commerce excerpt.
How long does it take for other banks to see the updated trade name?
We synchronize the trade names linked to your Bank Accounts twice a day!
While we're quick, other banks may take up to 30 days to synchronize the new trade names. If they notify you that they can't verify your trade name(s) yet, that's why. Once the synchronization is complete on their side, you're all set to go.
