Who’s eligible?
Every bunq Elite user living in 🇳🇱 The Netherlands, 🇩🇪 Germany, 🇫🇷 France, 🇪🇸 Spain, 🇮🇪 Ireland, 🇧🇪 Belgium or 🇮🇹 Italy are eligible for travel insurance when they book plane tickets, hotels or car rentals abroad.
However, there are several factors that will be taken into account for your insurance to be valid:
You must not be traveling against any medical advice;
You must be under 76 years old at the start of your trip;
You must use your bunq card to book either your plane tickets, hotels and car rentals;
You must comply with any requirements of the public transport carrier in its agreement to provide a service.
Is my family insured?
Your family is covered only when traveling with you. However, your partner should be under 76 years old at the start of your trip to be covered. Additionally, for your child to be covered, they must be financially dependent on you or your partner.
Can I use the insurance in my country of residence?
Some covers apply to trips within your country of residence provided that you are traveling at least 100 km from home or have pre-booked transport or accommodation.
