Want a card that looks like nobody else's for free?
Invite a friend to join bunq from your Cards tab — when your friend signs up for bunq and makes one single card payment of €50 with their bunq card, you both get a free Personalized Card. With a personalized card, you can add your own design to your card without paying the usual personalization fee.
Heads up: This reward is available on bunq Core, bunq Pro, and bunq Elite. Personalized Cards are always physical cards, so this reward isn't available on bunq Free.
How can I invite someone to join bunq and get a Personalized Card?
Invite your friend from your Cards tab, then wait for them to make their qualifying payment.
Go to your Cards tab
Scroll and tap on Get a Personalized Card for free
Tap on Invite now
Select the phone number of the friend you want to invite from your Contacts
Tap on Send Invite
Your invite is now in progress ✨
Once your friend completes their sign up and makes a single card payment of €50 or more, you get a notification that you've unlocked your reward.

What does the reward cover?
The reward covers the one-time €9.99 fee to personalize your card. Both you and your friend get it as a reward!
There are 2 situations where you still pay:
You've used all your free physical cards. If you're on bunq Core, Pro, or Elite and have already reached your limit of free physical cards, the standard €9.99 card fee also applies.
You already have 3 cards. If you already have 3 cards as a Personal or Business member, activating your Personalized Card adds €3.49 per month on top of your monthly plan fee. If you block or freeze one card so you have only 3 active cards in total, the €3.49 monthly cost isn't charged.
How can I claim my reward?
Your reward awaits you on your Home tab under Action Needed. Here's how you can claim it:
Go to your Home tab
Scroll and tap on the widget under Action Needed
Follow the on-screen instructions
Tap on Claim reward
Design and order your Personalized Card

When will my Personalized Card arrive?
Your design is reviewed within 48 hours of your order. Once your design is approved, your card is delivered within 10 business days.
Your personalization isn't visible in Apple Pay or Google Pay — it only appears on your physical card.
Why haven't I received my reward yet?
To unlock the reward, both you and your friend need to meet specific criteria. Here's what to check:
Was the correct referral link used?
Your friend can check by looking for a pending event under Action Needed on their Home tab. If they don't see it, they may have missed using your link during sign up. No problem — just ask them to reach out to our Support chat in the app, and we're happy to investigate.
Has the qualifying payment been made?
Your friend needs to make a single card payment of €50 or more with their bunq card. Multiple smaller payments adding up to €50 don't trigger the reward — it has to be one transaction of at least €50. The good news is there are no restrictions on where they make the payment 🎉
Card ordered but not arrived?
If you've claimed your reward and your physical card hasn't arrived yet, reach out to our Support chat in the app and we'll help you with the next steps 🙌

Designs with trademarks, personal data, or offensive content won't be accepted
This reward covers the personalization fee only. This means that your monthly plan fee stays the same, unless the €3.49 monthly cost for a fourth card applies to you
