General Information on Opening an Account at a Bank in the European Union
First of all, know that it is completely legal to open a bank account outside of France, notably in the Netherlands - IBAN starting with NL. The only thing to do is to declare your account along with your income. Of course, we will send you an email when the time comes to specify all the information to be disclosed based on your situation.
Discrimination Based on IBAN
Since the establishment of the SEPA zone (Single Euro Payments Area), the member countries of this agreement have agreed on a system based on IBAN to simplify international transactions. By refusing your IBAN, merchants or employers are in violation of the European law of February 1, 2016 (Art. 9, European Directive No. 260/2012). If you find yourself in a situation where your IBAN is refused, we encourage you to contact the national authority in force by sending them as much information as possible regarding the situation, the merchant, or the employer involved.
Declare Your Account Along with Your Income
