With Bizum, a mobile payment service, Spanish users can now send and receive money instantly using their mobile phones.
How can I set up Bizum?
Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
Go to ⚙️Settings
Select Bizum
Turn the toggle on
Choose the Bank Account you want to link to Bizum
Confirm the phone number linked
How can I change the linked Bank Account?
Tap on your Profile in the top left corner
Go to ⚙️Settings
Select Bizum
Tap on Linked Bank Account
Select the Bank Account you want to use
Confirm the change via SMS confirmation code
How can I pay via Bizum?
Tap on the Bank Account linked to Bizum
Tap on More
Select Bizum
Tap on 🟠 Pay
Choose the recipient and select the amount
Review the payment and send it
How can I request money via Bizum?
Tap on the Bank Account linked to Bizum
Tap on More
Select Bizum
Tap on 🔵Request
Choose a person from your contact list and select the amount
Review the request and send it
How can I pay online via Bizum?
Whenever you place an online payment using Bizum as a payment method, you’re going to receive a push notification. Once you tap on the notification, you’ll be redirected to the bunq app to either approve or decline the request.
If you’ve missed the notification, follow these steps:
Tap on the 🛎️ bell icon in the top left corner
Tap on the notification
Approve or Decline the payment
Can Bizum payments be recalled?
At the moment, you can’t recall your Bizum payments in-app. However, you can receive Bizum payment recalls and easily approve or deny them.
To recall a Bizum payment you made, you can reach out to our Support in your bunq App. You can find more information on how to recall a payment here.
Who can use Bizum?
In order to use Bizum with your bunq account, you have to meet the following criteria:
You have a verified Personal account with bunq Core, bunq Pro, or bunq Elite
You have a Spanish IBAN account
You are 18 years old or older
