Starting a company with your co-founder and want to share full access to your bunq Business account in a simple and fast way? We’re here to make it easy for you. You can add another person to your Business account as a Co-founder or a Director, so they can manage the account too!

In your bunq app, a Co-Founder has the same role as a Director for your Business Account. You can invite them to help manage the account, giving them the same access and responsibilities as you. Together you can stay on top of payments, accounts, and everything your business needs.

If you’re looking to add a Director but see Co-founder in the app, no worries — it’s simply another name for the same role and works exactly the same.

How do I add another Director to my Business account?

To add a Co-Founder to your Business account, start by having the new director download the bunq app and create a Personal bunq account. This step is essential for them to receive the invitation to your Business account. Once they have their Personal account ready, proceed with these steps:

1. Tap on your name at the top of your Home Tab

2. Switch to your Business

3. Scroll down and select "Manage Co-Founder"

4. Tap on "Add Co-Founder"

5. Enter the phone number associated with the Co-Founder's Personal account.

The new Co-Founder will receive an invitation in the bunq app. After approval, they will instantly have access to the Business account!

How can a new Director accept the invite?

Follow the steps below to see how a new director accepts the invite from the Personal account.

1. Launch your bunq app

2. In your Profile in the top left corner , you can see 1 event waiting (figure can be more than 1 if you have some other events waiting)

3. Select Co-Founder invitation pending

4. Accept invitation

5. Ta da 🎉 You're now a Co-Founder of the Business Account!

6. Make sure to refresh the Home tab to see all bank accounts linked to your Business account☝️

How do I remove a Director from my Business account?

iOS 🍎

1. Tap on your name at the top of your Home Tab

2. Switch to your Business

3. Select Manage Co-Founders

4. Select Edit

5. Remove directors by clicking on 🔴 -

6. Save and all done

Android 🤖

1. Tap on your name at the top of your Home Tab

2. Switch to your Business

3. Select Manage Co-Founders

4. Swipe left the name of the director you want to remove

5. Click on Remove

6. Save and all done
