We've got your back — you can reopen a closed bank account quickly and easily, straight from your bunq app.

How do I reopen my closed Bank Account?

If you closed the Bank Account less than 60 days ago, you can reopen it from your archived accounts. After 60 days, the Bank Account is permanently closed and can't be reopened anymore.

❗️This 60-day limit applies only to Bank Accounts. Your personal bunq account has no time limit and can be reopened at any time. Check out how to reopen your bunq account.

Here's how you can reopen your closed Bank Account:

1. Go to the 🏠 Home tab

2. Go to Your Profile in the top left corner

3. Tap on Archived

4. Tap on Bank Accounts

5. Choose the Bank Account in question

6. Go to ⚙️ Settings

7. Tap on 🟢 Reopen account

8. Done!

Note: Currently, it's not possible to reopen Joint Bank Accounts.
