If you’re signing up for bunq and see a Looks like you’ve used bunq before screen, you've previously opened a bunq account. This means that you can simply log back into your existing account and start easy banking right away. 

Here’s how you can do it: 

1. From the Looks like you’ve used bunq before screen, tap on Login 

2. We’ll automatically link your new phone number to your previously made account 

3. All you’ll need to do is enter your old Security Code 

4. Don’t remember it? No worries, simply reset it by tapping on Forgot Your Security Code? and follow the flow 

I don’t have access to my old phone number or email address anymore 

Has your phone number or email address changed since you created an account at bunq? No worries, we’ve got you covered. We’ll update your existing account’s contact details for you and automatically link the new phone number to the correct account. 

All you’ll need to do is log back into your original bunq account using your security code by clicking log in.

Keeping your account secure

If you’re logging in on a new mobile or desktop device, we need to confirm it’s really you. This is a standard security measure to make sure your account is fully protected. To confirm it’s really you, we’ll ask you to take a selfie during login. 

Once your identity is verified, you’ll get access to your existing account and unlock easy banking. 

Forgot your Security code?

Don’t remember your security code? No worries - it happens to the best of us. Make sure you have access to a working phone number or an email address, and you can reset your Security code by following these steps: 

1. Tap on Forgot Security Code?

2. Enter the phone number or email address you have access to.

3. Enter the confirmation code you get from us in your bunq App. 

4. Follow the instructions on your screen to verify your identity.

5. Choose your new Security Code and confirm it.

6. You can now use your new Security Code to log into your bunq account.
