We have some great news for you! As of December 1, 2022, bunq will no longer be charging any safekeeping fees at all!

Until then, from October 1, 2022, the Safekeeping fee will work based on the guidelines explained here

Why is the safekeeping fee gone?

Earlier this year, the ECB announced it would remove negative interest on its deposits. That’s why we previously informed you we’re lowering your safekeeping fee as of October 1 here More recently, the ECB announced it will further increase its interest rates, lowering costs even more. Once again, we immediately responded, this time by removing safekeeping fees entirely as of December 1.
