Wondering what happens to your cards when you block them?
Temporarily blocked cards
Your temporarily blocked cards will stay visible in your 🏡 Home Tab.
They will feature a little ❄️ Frozen sign to remind you that they are deactivated. If you would like to reactivate your card, you can do so by following the steps outlined here.
Permanently blocked cards
To keep your 🏡 Home Tab tidy and easy-to–navigate, we move your permanently blocked cards to the Archive - which is located right below your regular cards and bank accounts.
If you need to access a permanently blocked card to check your card details, review payments or export a statement, you can do so by following these steps:
bunq App
Go to your 🏡 Home Tab
Scroll to the bottom of your cards

Can my card get automatically blocked?
Due to security reasons, your card will be automatically blocked temporarily if there are multiple failed card transactions due to insufficient balance. If the same card keeps experiencing more failed transactions, it'll be blocked permanently.
In case your card is only blocked temporarily, you can re-activate it by simply following the steps explained above - once you do, you'll be able to either top-up the Bank Account linked to the card in question or link the card to a Bank Account with sufficient balance.
