Hey bunqers 🌈,
Focus on growing your business, and let your trusted team handle the day-to-day finances.
With a bunq Business Account, you can easily share access to your company’s bank accounts with your team, based on their roles. Ready to get started? Simply:
Switch to your Business Account in the bunq app
Go to your Business Profile
Scroll and tap on Bank Account Access
From here you can check who has access to your Business Account(s), invite new users, and manage their bank account access levels.
This amazing feature will be available in your bunq app as soon as Apple releases the update. From that moment access levels will be available on both iPhone and Android.
💡If you're already a bunq user, make sure to check your inbox — we'll send you an email the moment these features become available.
What are the different access levels?
Here's a breakdown of the different access levels you can share:
Full Access
This level is designed for the directors or co-owners of the Business, and grants complete control over the business account. We will always verify that anyone granted Full Access is officially listed as a director in the Chamber of Commerce extract before they get full access. With Full Access, they can:
Make payments from any of your Company’s Bank Account
Add or remove new company members
To remove a user with Full Access, they must first be de-registered as a director or co-founder from your official Chamber of Commerce documents.
Make Payments Access
Let trusted employees or your treasurer handle company payments. Make Payments access allows them to make payments from specific company bank accounts that you choose. The shared bank accounts will simply appear in your employee’s Home tab. From there, they can:
Make payments from the shared Business Bank Account(s)
View the entire transaction history of the shared Business Bank Account(s)
View-Only Access
Easily share financial information with people like your accountant or a member of your Homeowner’s Association. View-Only Access allows them to view all transactions from specific company bank accounts that you chose. The shared bank accounts will simply appear in their Home tab. From there, they can:
View the bank account’s activity and transactions for bookkeeping or oversight
Get access to the entire transaction history of the shared Bank Account(s).
Can I mix access levels for different accounts?
It’s not possible to mix and match various access levels for one member of your company. This means that one access level invitation applies to all of your Business bank accounts. For example, if you grant one user a Make Payments access to four bank accounts, they will have that same access for all four.
How many people can I share access with?
The number of people you can share access with depends on your bunq Business plan and the type of access you want to share:
Full Access
The number of users you can share Full Access with is determined by your plan:
bunq Core, Pro, and Elite Business: You can have up to 3 users with Full Access included. This is usually yourself and two other directors or co-founders. You can always share Full Access with an extra user for €5.99 per month.
bunq Free Business: You can have 1 user with Full Access. This is typically you. Adding more Full Access members isn’t possible on this plan.
Make Payments & View-Only Access
The number of users you can share Make Payments & View-Only Access with is determined by your plan:
bunq Core, Pro, and Elite Business: You can share access with an unlimited number of people.
bunq Free Business: Adding Make Payments or View-Only access isn’t possible on the bunq Free Business plan.
