For safety reasons, sometimes we need to ask for additional information on how you generate your income or their source. Worry not - it's a standard procedure which is pretty common for all banks. This helps us to protect the banking world from fraudsters and keep you secure while you use your favorite app 💪

What’s the information required?

Please provide us with:

• your source of income;

• your average monthly income;

• the maximum amount of money you expect on your account;

• a valid proof for your source of income.

We may also request information for reason and supporting documentation for specific transaction(s). The listed documents below are also applicable for single-transaction inquiries.

What’s a valid proof for source of income?

This is a document that helps us understand where the money on your account come from, so we can keep everyone in the banking system safe. The document can differ depending on your situation. You can find examples of the documents we accept below. Please, keep in mind the following:

• As sufficient proof we don't accept images of your workplace, electricity bills or any other unrelated objects to the inquiry.

• The document should be preferably in PDF format 📄

• You have 14 days to submit the information in the app. If you fail to do so, the access to your account will be restricted until further reply from your side with the sufficient documentation.

• For cryptocurrencies, excerpt from crypto wallet stating as minimum current balance held and crypto + history of previous fund instalments for at least the amount transferred to bunq account or preceding 12 months is required

Crypto / Forex traders & investors

Accepted documents (not older than 3 months)

• Share with us the main purpose of having this crypto account (eg. long-term investing, day-trading, other)

• If you have a Fiat Wallet, provide us with a proof of ownership of your fiat wallet showing that the IBAN XXXXXXXX is in your name ( your name and email address need to appear in the same statement/screenshot )

• If you don't have a Fiat Wallet, provide us a with statement or screenshot of your transaction history, proving that the payment was made from your own crypto account (your name and email address need to appear in the same statement/screenshot)

• Statement or screenshot of your crypto or forex platform’s transaction history showing the exchanges from crypto to fiat (EUR) and vice-versa

• Statement or screenshot of your transaction history showing the transactions (trading, deposits or withdrawals) with this/these cryptocurrencies.

• Latest tax report including crypto or forex related paid taxes ( if profit is over 50,000.00 EUR)

• For other types of investments, provide a statement from your investment account with your name and the total amount invested/the total amount of stocks
