Contactless payments have become increasingly popular due to their convenience and speed. However, to ensure security and prevent potential misuse, we've set certain limits for these transactions.

What are the limits?

To avoid having to enter your pin code on terminals as much as possible, we have set new single payment contactless limits in some countries:

• A €50 limit per contactless payment will apply in: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, France, French Guiana, Greece, Germany, Guadeloupe, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Malta, Martinique, Monaco, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, St Pierre and Miquelon.

• A 100 BGN limit per contactless payment will apply in Bulgaria.

• A 15’000 HUF limit per contactless payment will apply in Hungary.

• A 200 RON limit per contactless payment will apply in Romania.

• A 400 SEK limit per contactless payment will apply in Sweden.

• A 45 GBP limit per contactless payment will apply in the United Kingdom.

Which limits were increased?

• A 4500 ALL limit per contactless payment will apply in Albania.

• A 60 BAM limit per contactless payment will apply in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

• A 45 FKP limit per contactless payment will apply in the Falkland Islands (Malvinas).

• A 350 DKK limit per contactless payment will apply in the Faroe Islands.

• A 45 GIP limit per contactless payment will apply in Gibraltar.

• A 350 DKK limit per contactless payment will apply in Greenland.

• A 300 ILS limit per contactless payment will apply in Israel.

• A 40 EUR limit per contactless payment will apply in Kosovo, United Nations Mission in Kosovo.

• A 40 EUR limit per contactless payment will apply in the Liechtenstein.

• A 2000 MKD limit per contactless payment will apply in Macedonia.

• A 40 EUR limit per contactless payment will apply in the Montenegro.

• A 5000 RUB limit per contactless payment will apply in the Russian Federation.

• A 4000 RSD limit per contactless payment will apply in Serbia.

• A 45 SHP limit per contactless payment will apply in St Helena.

• A 500 NOK limit per contactless payment will apply in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

• A 80 CHF limit per contactless payment will apply in Switzerland.

• A 250000 UZS limit per contactless payment will apply in Uzbekistan.
