Hey bunqers 🌈,

You can find any payment from your Recent transactions, and narrow it down by type, amount, date, and Bank Account. It’s super simple: just enter a description, a name, or a location, and tap Search.

You can also switch from List to Map and see your card payments plotted where you made them, so you can find a payment simply by remembering where you were.

Where do I start a search?

Four routes, and all four land on the same screen — your transaction list with the filters and a search bar at the top.

• Home → Recent transactions → 🔍. You can see everything across your accounts

• Home → Recent transactions → See all. You can see everything across your accounts

• Cards → Recent transactions → 🔍. You can see only the payments made with that card

• Cards → Recent transactions → See all. You can see only the payments made with that card

How do I search for a payment?

1. Open Recent transactions from Home or from Cards

2. Tap the search icon 🔍, or tap See all

3. Type a description, a name, or a location

4. Tap any filter you need: Type, Amount, Date, or Bank Accounts

5. Tap Search

Your results appear underneath, grouped by date. Your filters stay on screen above them, so you can change anything and search again without starting over. An active filter turns blue and shows what it's set to, so 3€ – 30€ tells you your amount range is applied.

Can I see the payments for just one card?

Yes. Open the Cards tab, pick the card you want, and search from the Recent transactions section there. You'll only see payments made with that card.

That's the quickest way to separate your cards if you have several — one for daily spending and one for subscriptions, for example. Everything else works the same way: the same Type, Amount, Date, and Bank Accounts filters, and the same Map view.

To search across all of your cards and accounts again, start from Home instead.

Can I combine filters?

Yes, you can! The Type, Amount, Date, and Bank Accounts all work together, so you can look for payments between €3 and €30, in the last 3 months, from two of your accounts, all in one search.

The one filter that takes a single choice is Type — you pick All, Received, Paid, or Requested, and picking a new one replaces the last. Whichever you pick, your other filters still apply on top.

Your filters stay on screen next to your results, so you can adjust one and search again whenever you like. 

Can I filter by amount and search money in and money out at the same time?

Yes. The Amount filter works under every Type, including All, so you can look for something between €3 and €30 without deciding first whether it was money in or money out.

Set From and Up to in the Amount filter and enter both as positive numbers, whichever Type you've chosen. bunq matches your range against outgoing payments, incoming payments, or both, depending on your Type.

What do the Type options mean?

Open the Type filter and you get four options. One is always selected:

• All — every transaction, with no type filter applied. This is the default

• Received — money in to your account

• Paid — money out of your account

• Requested — payment requests you sent, at any status, including requests nobody has paid yet

Requested means requests you sent, not requests sent to you. A request someone sent you shows up under Received once you pay it.

What periods can I search?

Tap Date and pick the period duration of your choice: 

• Any

• Last 12 months

• Last 6 months,

• Last 3 months

• Set your own range with From and To 

Any is selected by default, so you're searching your whole history until you narrow it.

Can I search more than one Bank Account at once?

Yes. Tap Bank Accounts and check every account you want to include. Each one shows its balance, so you can tell similar accounts apart.

Your Joint Accounts and Savings Accounts are in the list, and so are your Archived Accounts — so a payment from an account you've since archived is still findable

How do I clear my filters?

Tap Reset at the right of the filter row. It appears as soon as you have a filter active, and it clears all of them at once.

Can I see my payments on a map?

Don’t remember the name of that cool place you visited last week? You can see exactly where you made all of your bunq Card payments with your Payments Map! Simply tap Map and your card payments appear as location pins where you made them, each with their own category icon. Here’s how: 

1. Open Recent transactions from Home or from Cards

2. Toggle to Map at the top of your screen to get your Payments Map view 

3. Tap a pin to open that place

4. See every payment you've made there, plus Open in Maps, Directions, and Share

Your Amount, Date, and Bank Accounts filters carry over to Map from your list view. You can also filter by category — Show All is on by default, or pick from Entertainment, Groceries, Food and Drink, Car Expenses, Shopping, and Personal Care.

Can I search my transactions on bunq Web?

Yes! You can search and filter your transactions on bunq Web too. Choose All, Received, Paid, or Requested, or filter by Amount, then search within the filtered results. 

You can use one filter at a time on bunq Web. 

Why don't I see the new filters?

Your app just needs an update. Type, amount range, and Map arrived with bunq Update 32, so make sure to update your bunq app to get access to this exciting new feature!
